Situated in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of Bordeaux, Château La Mission Haut-Brion's vineyards are planted upon gravelly terrain over a clay-sand subsoil. The resulting wine is known for its rounded, generous texture and silky tannins, with this 2007 vintage being a particular standout. The ripness of its dark red fruit palate is balanced with smoky, earthy notes, leading to a bite of cassis and tobacco in the finish.
