Château Ausone is a prestigious name in the wine region of Bordeaux, and one of the few Saint-Émilion producers with Premier Grand Cru Classé A status, so it's no surprise its 2017 vintage is of such a high standard. Deep purple in colour, a trait provided by the mix of Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, the blend boasts an aroma of baked plums, berries and espresso, with touches of violet complementing the medium body, silky tannins and multi-layered flavour.
