To own this whisky is to own a snippet of Glenmorangie's history, it was the first to be aged in specially designed casks that were seasoned with bourbon for four years, before being lightly charred to magnify the creaminess that the distillery is known for. The result is quite remarkable, with this 1996 possessing a citrussy character that's enhanced by ripples of vanilla, fudge and ginger.
