Zacapa's Centenario Gran Reserva 23 is composed of a blend of rums aged for six to 23 years in casks, followed by resting in charred-white oak barrels- infusing further woody flavour. Deep mahogany in colour, incredible intensity and subtle sweetness are translated through delicate notes of wood, fruit, vanilla, almond, caramel, fudge and chocolate. Unlike most rums that use molasses, Zacapa is created from the concentrated first pressing of sugar cane 'virgin sugar cane honey', aged and blended in the mountains where the cool air slows its ageing.
